Working principle of direct ion air knife:

  Compressed air enters the plenum chamber of the ion air knife through the inlet (1) and flows to a precision slotted hole. When the main airflow blows out of the slotted hole, it forms a uniform air curtain over the entire length and immediately draws in the surrounding room air (2). Electric ionization rods (3) fill the air curtain with positive and negative charges, and the airflow delivers these static-eliminating ions to the product surface (4) where it instantly neutralizes the workpiece

Advantages of using the Super Ion Air Knife The direct ion air knife floods static-eliminating ions directly onto the surface of an object at a distance of up to 20 feet (6.1 meters). There is uniform air flow along the entire length of the air knife, ensuring that the purging of curved surfaces such as corrugated surfaces will not be offset. The wind power is adjustable and can be adjusted from "strong wind" to "gentle wind" according to usage conditions. The ion air knife is electric, has no vibration and no moving parts. SUNAIR's annular ion air knife provides a uniform 360° ionized air flow that is easily clamped around parts to eliminate static electricity and contaminants. It is ideal for use on pipes, cables, extrusions, hoses, wires and more. It minimizes compressed air consumption while maximizing ionized air flow. The annular ion air knife consists of an annular air knife and a split ionization ring powered by a power supply.
